SAVANNAH, GA (March 3, 2026) — Today, leaders from Georgia’s First Congressional District and across the state endorsed Democrat Amanda Hollowell’s campaign for Congress. Since launching her campaign in August 2025, Hollowell has met with community members from Chatham, Liberty. Glynn, Ware, Wayne, Camden, Appling counties and more to hear their concerns and share her vision to put power, policy, and progress back in the hands of the people. Today’s endorsements are a clear demonstration of the support Hollowell has earned and the coalition she is forming to win the open seat in November.

The following officials are the latest to endorse Hollowell:

  • Derek Mallow, Georgia State Senator, District 2

“As I travel across the district, it’s clear that voters are ready for a representative who puts the people first. I am honored to earn the endorsement of leaders from across the state, and I am grateful to every person who has supported our campaign to put power, policy, and progress back in the hands of the people,” said Amanda Hollowell, candidate for U.S. Congress.

“With Trump’s ongoing assaults against our communities and politicians too tepid to meet the moment, Amanda is the type of fighter and colleague I want alongside me in the halls of Congress.” said Dr. Everton Blair, Jr. candidate for U.S. Congress in District 13, who endorsed Hollowell today.

Georgia’s First Congressional District is currently held by six-term Republican Representative Earl L. “Buddy” Carter, who is vacating it to run for the U.S. Senate. Amanda Hollowell will officially qualify for the race on Thursday, March 5, and the primary election will be held on May 19.
