SAVANNAH, GA (April 30, 2026) — Amanda Hollowell, candidate for Georgia’s 1st Congressional District, announced a growing coalition of endorsements from local and national leaders and organizations, reflecting strong momentum behind her campaign for working families across Coastal Georgia.

Hollowell has earned endorsements from Savannah Mayor Van Johnson, Higher Heights for America PAC, the Working Families Party, Black Voters Matter Action PAC, and The Collective PAC. She has also received Moms Demand Action’s Gun Sense Candidate distinction.

“Amanda Hollowell has demonstrated the kind of leadership and commitment our communities need,” said Mayor Van Johnson. “She understands Savannah, she understands this district, and she has spent her career fighting for the issues that matter most to working families.”

Organizations backing Hollowell pointed to her record of building people-powered movements and advancing economic justice, voting rights, and healthcare access. Moms Demand Action recognized her commitment to common-sense gun safety policies and safer communities.

Hollowell currently serves as Chief of Campaigns at Color Of Change, the nation’s largest online racial justice organization. She previously held leadership roles at When We All Vote, the Georgia Budget and Policy Institute, and 9to5 Georgia, where she led large-scale organizing efforts and managed multimillion-dollar campaigns.

A proud chosen daughter of Georgia’s 1st Congressional District, Hollowell says her campaign is grounded in lived experience as a mother and caregiver.

“I’m running for Congress because families across this district deserve leadership that understands their struggles and is ready to fight for real solutions,” Hollowell said. “We need a government that works for all of us, not just the well-connected.”
